Chef Goldman is a bad ass. His team at CHARM CITY CAKES not only push the limits of baking, but creativity as a whole using everything from spatulas to soldering guns to blowtorches to bring their ideas to life. After working with the folks at Food Network on the promo campaign for Jeff Corwin's "Extreme Cuisine" we launched the year writing scripts and concepting for how to help launch the upcoming season of "Ace of Cakes." Luckily, there is a lot to go on, and Food Network decided that even though it is a simple connection, the idea of a deck of cards had never been explored. As you can see from the boards below, the connection was made visually to the show and Duff, but we needed to make it more relevant to the cakes. A regular Vegas-style deck was replaced by a stack that could only be created by the fondant-masters at Charm City. And atop the house of cards- Duff is his own ace-up-his-sleeve leading the charge in the next challenge.
